RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meter Engineering Internship activities may include, but are not limited to, the following proposed projects:
- Assist engineering staff in designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high accuracy energy measurement systems.
- Specific tasks may include engineering work related to; communication systems, NIST traceable accuracy testing, department standards development, and management of advanced metering infrastructure software and data.
REQUIRMENTS
- Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028.
- Preference for Electrical discipline.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as occasional travel may be required.
- Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, or aptitude.
DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:
- This internship will report in person to Duluth, MN.
- This role is expected to begin May 2026.
- The internship will be full time during summer with the possibility of extending into the academic terms up until graduation.
- ALLETE will comply with college requirements.
- Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs.
