Creative Minds Learning Center is a private tutoring and enrichment program serving K–12 and college-level learners. We specialize in personalized instruction, academic remediation, executive functioning support, and STEM acceleration.

Position Overview

We are seeking a STEM Tutor with systems engineering and circuit analysis expertise to support middle school, high school, and early-college students. This role is perfect for engineering majors, graduate students, or professionals looking for rewarding, flexible part-time work.

Responsibilities

Tutor students in:

Systems Engineering fundamentals

Circuit Analysis I & II

Physics (Mechanics + E&M)

Pre-Calculus, Calculus I–III

General STEM coursework

Break down complex engineering concepts into simple, student-friendly explanations.

Provide guided problem-solving support and detailed walkthroughs.

Adapt instruction for remediation or acceleration needs.

Track student progress and communicate updates using CMLC systems.

Optional: Support STEM enrichment programs, labs, and workshops.

Qualifications

Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Applied Sciences.

Strong foundation in:

Kirchhoff’s Laws

Node/mesh analysis

Op-amp circuits

AC/DC analysis

Linear systems & differential equations

Block diagrams & modeling

Ability to tutor high school math and physics.

Strong communication skills and patience.

Must be available Mon & Wed 4–6 PM (session format flexible: in-person or online).

Nice-to-Have

Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, LTSpice, Multisim, Python, Arduino, or similar tools.

Experience mentoring, TA’ing, or tutoring.

Familiarity with SMARTS executive functioning strategies.

Compensation

$25–$35/hour depending on subject area and experience.
(Higher rates for advanced engineering coursework.)
