SUMMARY
The Membership Admin Assistant is the first point of contact at the Welcome Desk. This role supports members and visitors with check-ins, phone inquiries, membership renewals, registrations, and facility tours. The position ensures a safe, friendly lobby environment and supports staff by directing callers, monitoring activity, and assisting with daily facility operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet members and visitors; assist with MySeniorCenter (MSC) check-ins.
  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally; collect messages as needed.
  • Assist with memberships, registrations, and payments; reconcile end-of-shift reports.
  • Provide facility tours or notify a supervisor when a tour is requested.
  • Monitor lobby activity for safety; alert staff, RN on duty, or 911 when needed.
  • Ensure visitors check in and notify staff of appointments.
  • Prevent unknown visitors from entering beyond the lobby.
  • Support opening/closing procedures and ensure technology is functioning.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate member questions or concerns to staff.
  • Support and help train Welcome Desk volunteers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (training provided).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with technology (Microsoft Office suite, member database).
  • Able to exercise good judgment and respond calmly to situations.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs; must present a professional appearance.
