Long Term Substitute Biology Teacher Position for High School
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
Classroom or related experience with children ages 14+
MA DESE License preferred: High School Biology
Candidates must have excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the ability to work with independence in dealing with the diverse elements of the academic environment.
REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum and Building Principal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employs a variety of teaching methods to engage different learning styles and ability levels in the classroom
Prepares, conducts and delivers motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum (MA Framework: HS Biology), child development, and student abilities
Encourages an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of the students
Utilizes a variety of assessments and uses data in the classroom to monitor students’ progress
This position is scheduled to be available January 5, 2026 through June 17, 2026.
