Lifeguard - Adult

The primary responsibility is to supervise the pool and deck of the High School and Wealthy Pool, prevent accidents and minimize/eliminate hazardous situations in pool areas. Responding quickly to all emergency situations using proper procedures/techniques and following the East Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department rules and regulations.  Starting pay for lifeguards is $15.00 per hour with early morning shifts paying $16.50 per hour.  The City of East Grand Rapids provides certification opportunities for candidates who do not have a current lifeguarding certification.
