E-Commerce Operations Coordinator
Role Overview
This team member supports daily business operations across online order processing, shipping, warehouse organization, digital catalog management and general administrative tasks, including answering incoming calls. You’ll work directly with our COO daily and interact with team members from engineering and product development to ensure data accuracy, and deliver timely, professional communication to every customer. This role will also assist in basic marketing upkeep, such as working with our in-house media producer to post of socials, curate and post blogs, and assist with events.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized and enjoys refining systems to improve operations, has customer service experience, and prefers a day of variety–spending time both at a desk and in the warehouse.
This is not a technical position and requires no electrical or engineering experience. However, if this subject matter interests you, all the better!
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce & Online Store Support
- Manage daily website and online marketplace orders (Shopify).
- Ensure product listings are accurate and up to date—including pricing, stock levels, specifications, and lead times.
- Monitor online customer inquiries in general company inbox; route technical questions to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with uploading new SKUs, images, and product descriptions.
- Assist with social media posts, website blog posts, and email campaigns.
Administrative & Warehouse Support
- Assist with office operations, correspondence, documentation, and digital organization
- Answer the main office line, email, and assist with walk-ins and will call pick ups.
- Maintain organized files relating to orders and shipping logistics.
Order Processing & Shipping Logistics
- Process, pack, and label e-commerce orders daily.
- Schedule Ground and Freight shipments.
- Assist with draft orders and manual orders.
- Communicate order status updates, shipping timelines, and backorder information to customers via email.
- Assist sales and technical staff with quotes, availability checks, and lead-time verifications.
Inventory & Operations Support
- Assist with cycle counts, stock level reconciliation, and inventory updates.
- Inform management when low-stock or long-lead items affect e-commerce availability / draft purchase orders (POs) for review.
- Help organize component storage, staging areas, and production materials.
Qualifications & Needed Skills
- Bachelors degree
- Customer service experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for 4-6 hours per day.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
