Painter Engineer III - Eldorado (Reno)

JOB SUMMARY

Painting, wallpapering, installing drywall and general maintenance.  Performs all duties in accordance with company policies and within the realm of Caesars Entertainment Mission Statement.

ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the following) 

  • Daily maintenance of wallpaper, paint, and furniture
  • Touch-up hotel, casino, back of house, restaurants and throughout facility 
  • Repainting of curbs, traffic stripes and directional signs throughout facility
  • Maintain all finishes throughout hotel, casino, back of house and restaurants
  • Repair and repaint exterior structure and doors
  • Assist in all special projects
  • Ability to use airless spraying equipment
  • Ability to mix and match colors
  • Handling and disposal of all hazardous waste associated with shop

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred

Minimum of three years’ experience in painting and sheetrock repair

Installation and proficiency in hanging all types of wall covering is preferred

Required to perform the Customer Service Standards of the department

Knowledgeable of the Casino Control Act respective to cashiering regulations, as well as company internal controls, policies and procedures

  • Ability to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position)

Requires 100% mobility to include frequent standing, bending and reaching from floor to 6ft., climbing using ladders and stairs

Operating equipment such as scissor lift or boom lift is preferred

Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 100 lbs.

Use of hand and power tools

Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity

Requires normal sense of smell, touch, and sound

Requires normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbols

Requires communicating by telephone, beeper, and radio

Flexible availability, including all shifts and varying days off

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
