Content Creator/Social Media Manager

We're looking for the person who should be running a brand, not just posting for one.

Vigilant is a personal safety app. But we're not building another boring tech product with corporate social media.

We're building a brand people actually care about.

 

Our goal? To make safety simple, human, and viral.

 

We're looking for a Content Creator/Social Media Manager with vision, not just experience. Someone who wants to own a brand voice, shape culture, and build a name and portfolio that people in the industry will remember.

Your mission:

  • Turn Vigilant into the most talked-about safety brand on the internet.
  • Create content that's equal parts meaningful, chaotic, and magnetic.
  • Build a voice that people recognize before they even see our logo.

You'll:

  • Actually make the content, editing, filming, designing, not just delegating it.
  • Lead creative direction across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Mix humor, empathy, chaos, and edge to make serious topics scroll-stopping.
  • Experiment constantly, memes, motion graphics, guerrilla marketing, street content, to find what moves people.
  • Help design the tone and aesthetic of a brand at the ground floor.

  • Actually love making content, not just strategizing about it.
  • Want freedom to experiment and make a portfolio-defining mark.
  • See brand voice as art, not corporate PR.
  • Don't need a production team to ship something great.

Requirements:

  • Based in the U.S. (for legal, timezone, and audience alignment)
  • Authentic voice that doesn't sound like AI or a marketing textbook
  • Hands-on skills: video editing, graphic design, motion graphics (whatever your toolkit is)

This isn't a "post 3x a day and call it strategy" job.

This is your shot to take a startup with global potential and make it sound and look like nothing else out there.
