Summer Research Internship at Marshfield Clinic Research Institute
Through a 10-week full-time working program (June 1 - Aug. 7, 2026), students work with a Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) scientist on an independent project and contribute to all aspects of the research process. In addition, Summer Research Internship Program (SRIP) students are required to attend an Institutional Review Board meeting, lead a journal club session, prepare an abstract describing their research, as well as prepare and deliver an oral presentation of their research at the annual Research Symposium in early August. In addition to the independent projects, the SRIP program students are given access to and encouraged to attend scientific seminars and journal clubs.
Please see available internships on the SRIP web page for additional details and requirements. Since projects vary across MCRI’s Centers, the qualifications and requirements may range from student classification/status to skills used for a project (e.g., data analysis, familiarity with programming, qualitative analysis, etc.). SRIP is either virtual or in-person internship and depends on mentor, mentee, project needs, and applicants' state of residence. Deadline is Feb. 6, 2026 at 11:59 CST.
