Summer Buying, Planning and Wholesale Internships

2026 Tapestry Internship Program Overview: 

 

Our 10-week Summer 2026 Internship Program will give undergraduates, masters students, and recent graduates the opportunity to develop critical skillsets and gain hands-on experience at our house of modern luxury lifestyle brands. There will be internship opportunities available at Coach, kate spade, and within our Tapestry Functional Groups.  

 

  • Program Dates: June 2nd, 2026 - August 7th, 2026
  • Work structure: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office)
  • Location: New York City Hudson Yards Office 
  • Compensation: $20/hour
  • Benefits/Perks: Summer Fridays, product discounts, sample sales, meal stipend, and Intern educational & social events.

Final Teams Interviews – Applicants selected for follow up phone or video interviews will be contacted throughout February.  

Internship Offers – Offers will be extended by the Internship recruitment team in mid to late March. 

 

Tapestry Internship Position Details:

 

Job Title: Summer Buying, Planning and Wholesale Internships  

 

Primary Purpose: The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Buying, Planning or Wholesale to work within either the Coach or Kate Spade teams.* 

 

*Our internship recruiting team will be selecting candidates based on relevant skillsets that could be applicable to internship opportunities within the following departments: Buying, Account Management/Wholesale, Planning and Allocation. 

 

The accomplished individual may have...  

  • The ability to analyze Excel reports and identify headlines and key metrics based on weekly sales 
  • The potential to influence category assortment through product performance, customer feedback/trends, and local market knowledge 
  • The ability to manage sample requests for Buying teams, as well as cross functional requests, in conjunction with the Sample Library 
  • The ability to competitively shop in the market to identify trends in direct and aspirational competitors in both product (i.e. silhouette, price, novelty) and storytelling messaging (i.e. VM, in-store concepts) 

 

An outstanding professional may have the ability to...  

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative-thinking skills to identify areas of opportunity within business, current processes and unexpected challenges 
  • Strong communication skills: able to clearly articulate ideas through both verbal and written communication 
  • Adaptability and flexibility: ability to receive change well and positively flex as situations arise; agile, solutions-oriented mindset with openness to trying new, innovative approaches  
  • Planning and organization: time management skills to prioritize projects with acute attention to detail 
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of identified projects 
  • Computer skills: proficient in all Microsoft programs, especially Excel, and openness to learn new systems
