Camp Counselor

You could spend your summer anywhere—but the needs of today’s youth are real. Anxiety, depression, and loneliness are rising, and kids desperately need spaces where they feel known, supported, and grounded in the gospel. Camp is one of those rare places where belonging becomes real—and you can help make that possible.

Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian summer camp set on 250 beautiful acres.

We’re looking for Christ-centered individuals (18+) who genuinely love Jesus and want to invest in the next generation. As a counselor, you’ll lead a group of about 12 campers each week through daily activities, provide leadership and supervision, and receive training in a variety of camp programs that help nurture camper growth. You’ll also help guide our Jr. Staff and assist with retreats and other camp areas as needed. Experience working with kids is preferred but not required.

This role is especially valuable for students pursuing psychology, education, social work, or theology, though all majors are welcome to apply.
