Mechanical Engineer

BelGioioso Cheese, Inc., North America’s leading producer of award-winning specialty Italian cheeses, is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our Engineering Department.  This position will be primarily responsible to deliver innovative production and packaging equipment solutions while ensuring safety, quality, optimization, functionality and sustainability objectives are met in a cost-efficient manner. This will be accomplished through:

• Using technical experience, R&D and industry insights, proactively develop and implement creative equipment solutions which align with company objectives.
• Maintain vendor and industry relationships to keep up-to-date with current and future trends. 
• Research and recommend the selection of equipment materials and equipment. 

The ideal candidate will offer a bachelor's degree in mechanical or process engineering or similar degree, as well as direct work experience in the dairy/food manufacturing industry. Candidates also must provide a working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks. 

BelGioioso is a highly dynamic and fast-paced work environment.  We seek a positive, self-motivated and passionate person to continually move our production and packaging equipment solutions/projects forward until completion.  In order to accomplish this, candidates will offer 5+ years’ experience with a broad range of dairy/food packaging materials and equipment.  Qualified candidates must offer proven experience in producing high quality results while working independently and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.  Candidates must also offer excellent communication, analytical, project management and team work skills.  All of these abilities would normally be obtained through a minimum of 5+ years of direct experience and career progression.
