General Job Description: This is technical arboriculture, landscape or green stormwater infrastructure landscape or natural lands restoration work assisting the contract administrator in the inspection and monitoring of landscape, installation, maintenance or construction, or tree planting, trimming and removal projects, and natural lands restoration projects.  Employees in this class are responsible for ensuring that contractors comply with terms of contracts, plans and specifications and meet current standards for quality of work.  Coordination with contractors, vendors and departmental officials is a significant aspect of the work.  Work is performed under the general direction of an administrative supervisor.

The Requirements are as follows: 

          Successful completion of 60 college credits at an accredited college or university or technical school with major course work in horticulture, arboriculture, landscape design, agronomy, environmental science or closely related field.

AND

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

OPTION 1:

          Two years of experience in arboriculture.

OPTION 2:

          Two years of experience in landscape maintenance.

OPTION 3:        

          Two years of experience planning, implementing, monitoring and maintaining natural lands restoration projects for a large urban park system.
