Renewable Energy Control Center Intern

Job Summary

The Renewable Energy Control Center Internship offers a hands-on opportunity to support our Control Center Operators in maintaining efficient, organized, and compliant operations. This role focuses on documentation management, training development, and procedural support. While the intern will not conduct direct system operations, they will play a key role in enhancing the structure, accuracy, and flow of operational information across the team.

Responsibilities

Help to assist with:

Drafting, editing, and organizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) used within the Renewable Energy Control Center.

Designing and structuring simulation training materials and exercises for operator development.

Maintaining digital file structures, folder systems, and documentation pathways to support organized records and version control.

Logging, formatting, and preparing operational records, reports, and procedures under operator guidance.

Formatting and standardizing Electrical Switching and Operational procedures for improved clarity and consistency.

Observing Renewable Energy Control Operators to learn system monitoring, dispatch coordination, and situational awareness.

Coordinating with cross-functional teams to gather information needed for documentation or training updates.

Participating in internal trainings and reviewing industry material to build foundational technical knowledge.

Supporting administrative tasks such as scheduling, meeting minutes, and document preparation.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital file management tools.

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Interest in renewable energy operations and control center processes.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
