Multi-Project Volunteer – Huanchaco, Peru

Join Otra Cosa Network (OCN) and make a difference in Huanchaco, Peru! As a Multi-Project Volunteer, you’ll support our Recreational and Educational Centre (REC) across various programmes: English, Environment, Youth, and Literacy.

You’ll assist in teaching classes, supervising children during sports, crafts, and games, and helping with partner projects like girls’ empowerment, dog shelter care, library support, and playground renovations. Volunteers also have the chance to contribute ideas to improve programmes and take on more responsibility as a HELP Project Coordinator.

Requirements:

Age 18+

Some Spanish is desirable but not required

Experience with children or teaching is a plus

Empathetic, responsible, open-minded, and team-oriented

Details:

Placements: 1–12 months, ideally longer to immerse in the community

Hours: ~20–25 per week, Mon–Fri

Full support including accommodation help, induction, First Aid & Child Safeguarding training, and social activities

Opportunity to improve Spanish and gain hands-on NGO experience
