Programme Coordinator

Join Otra Cosa Network (OCN), a small NGO based in Huanchaco, Peru, supporting education and community development in underserved settlements.

 

We’re looking for a Programme Coordinator to oversee our HELP Education Programme and partnerships. This role is ideal for someone passionate about NGO work, international development, and leading impactful community projects.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Support HELP Project Coordinators with planning, resources, and delivery

Manage relationships with local partner projects and help build new partnerships

Monitor project effectiveness and suggest improvements

Lead, coach, and support the Coordinator team

Align project activities and coordinate with the Site Coordinator

Run weekly project review meetings and report key issues to management

Support local fundraising events

Option to help deliver activities directly with local children

 

 

What we’re looking for:

 

Highly organised, calm under pressure

Good English and Spanish (classes available)

Flexible, responsible, open-minded

Strong people skills; leadership experience is a plus

Programme/Project Management or International Development experience (desirable)

 

 

Details:

 

Approx. 25 hours/week

Minimum stay: 3 months (longer preferred)

Internship option available with mentorship and academic support

Live in Huanchaco, a coastal surf town, and immerse yourself in Peruvian culture
