Location: Oakland, CA 

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
Employment Type: Part-Time (Approximately 8 hours per week) but began at 20 hours per week for the 1st week)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support our contract lifecycle process, strengthen compliance, and contribute to more streamlined, professional documentation across the company.

Position Summary

The Contract Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, organizing, and maintaining contracts and related documents for Accurate C&S Services, Inc by using existing templates. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to ensure all agreements are clear, accurate, and aligned with company policies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in contract review and administration.

Key Responsibilities

The Contract Specialist will review and interpret existing vendor, client, service, and internal agreements to ensure they meet company standards and minimize risk. They will draft and refine contract templates for recurring needs such as service agreements, supplier agreements, statements of work, and amendments. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized and up-to-date contract repository while tracking key milestones such as renewals, expiration dates, and required updates. The Contract Specialist will collaborate with internal teams—including legal, procurement, finance, and operations—to gather input, support negotiations when needed, and finalize documents. They will monitor contract performance for compliance with terms and deliverables, identify risks or deviations, and recommend corrective actions. Additionally, the Contract Specialist will stay informed about relevant regulations and industry best practices, ensuring templates and processes remain current. They will also prepare periodic reports summarizing contract status, compliance indicators, and key findings for management review.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience in contract administration or contract management
  • Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with contract management or e-signature tools preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Preferred:

  • Experience in a service-based business environment
  • Professional contract certifications (optional but beneficial)
