Winter/Spring Graphic Design Intern

In this position, the intern will assist in all design efforts of the company. Working closely with the team, the intern will be exposed to various aspects of design — creating visuals for social media content, website, and other marketing collateral.

SELECTED RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceptualizing visuals based on the written content
• Preparing rough drafts and presenting ideas using appropriate colors and layouts
• Making modifications to graphics after feedback
• Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Supporting the team in managing the branding guidelines
   

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• A portfolio of illustrations or graphics
• Ability to work in Canva/other design software (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop), and video production software
• Assisting in updating information on the company website or hosting platforms (such as Squarespace)
• Experience w/social media (Instagram)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Interest in design as a profession

Note: This is an unpaid internship. The intern will be offered academic credit for this internship.
