Student Support Coach

At Skillify, we help students gain confidence, find mentors, and discover their future paths. We believe every student needs a coach — someone who helps them take action, stay accountable, and celebrate their wins.

Our program uses AI to help with the busywork (like writing texts or setting reminders), so you can focus on the human part — connection, encouragement, and details that make students feel seen.

We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for positive, empathetic, organized people who love helping others grow. If you’ve ever been a tutor, mentor, or just the friend everyone goes to for advice — you’ll love this job.

What You’ll Do

  • Be there for students (virtually). Text and message them throughout their mentorship journey — celebrate progress, remind them of next steps, and keep things moving.
  • Respond quickly. We promise students a reply within 5 minutes during the day. You’ll make that happen with help from our tools.
  • Set up and track activities. Like scheduling follow-ups (“mentor responded?”), setting timers, and keeping everything organized.
  • Keep our progress tracker updated. Quick updates in Google Sheets to let teachers know how students are doing.
  • Work with your fellow coach. You’ll each cover a few days per week so students are always supported.
  • Bring the energy! Students respond best to positivity, encouragement, and humor — you’re their guide and hype person.

  • You’ve worked as a tutor, teacher, coach, mentor, or in customer support, or you just love helping others grow.
  • You enjoy a good mix of structure and creativity — there’s a system, but there’s also room for your personality.
  • You have high standards for yourself — you strive for excellence and care deeply about creating value.

What’s Required

  • Available during the 9am–8pm PT coverage window for 14-15 days each month. You have the flexibility to pick your days ahead of time, ex. you might want to work 3-4, 11-hour shifts each week OR work 1/2 day shifts every day.
  • Great written communication — you’ll be texting and messaging all day.
  • Based in or able to commute to our Summerlin office in Las Vegas for the first 90 days (training & team collaboration).
  • After 90 days, hybrid or remote options are available based on performance.
