Growth Marketing Intern
Escapade (ex-Local Odysseys) is an early-stage startup turning cities into living stories. Our app transforms any walk into an immersive audio experience - an AI companion that guides you through history, culture, and hidden gems as you explore.
Picture discovering Paris for the first time: your phone becomes a personal guide, telling you where to go, what to see, and what happened there centuries ago, even showing you how it once looked. Every step becomes part of the story.
We are looking for a Marketing & Growth Intern with one clear goal: Drive Discovery. Your job is to fill the top of the funnel. We need you to get Escapade in front of the right people at the right time using a multi-channel approach.
You will attack User Acquisition on five specific axes:
- SEO (Search Engine Optimization): You will optimize our web footprint to ensure we capture traffic from travelers searching for "things to do" in our target cities.
- AEO (Answer Engine Optimization): The world of search is changing. You will experiment with optimizing our presence for AI discovery tools (Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini) so that Escapade is the recommended answer for travel queries.
- ASO (App Store Optimization): You will test keywords, screenshots, and descriptions to turn App Store impressions into actual downloads.
- Partnerships: You will reach out to creators, influencers, and travel communities to leverage their audiences for distribution.
- Scrappy Experiments: We value creativity over convention. We want you to come up with your own marketing ideas, Reddit growth hacks, or even unscalable tactics.
About you
- You have a hacker mindset and you’re comfortable trying, failing, adjusting, and trying again — you learn fast.
- You communicate clearly and you can reach out to people/creators when needed.
- You’re data-literate and can run tests and track simple experiments.
- Bonus: You’ve experimented with growth tactics before, even on small projects.
