Head of Operations

Location: Twin Cities, MN

Reports To: CEO

Compensation: $50,000–$55,000 base + performance bonuses

Pinehurst Apartment Services is a growing commercial cleaning company focused exclusively on apartment-community common areas. We service 40+ apartment buildings across Minnesota and are building systems to scale. Our mission is simple: no one should have to live in a messy building. Role Mission

To execute, improve, and stabilize Pinehurst’s field operations. This person ensures every property is cleaned to standard, every cleaner has what they need, and recurring issues are solved quickly and permanently.

Core Responsibilities

•  Conduct weekly quality control audits across all assigned communities.

•  Identify recurring problems and implement permanent fixes in process, training, or personnel.

•  Maintain 95%+ client satisfaction rating from property managers.

•  Build and maintain efficient cleaning schedules to minimize travel time and labor waste.

•  Proactively manage call-outs and staffing shortages to ensure consistent coverage.

•  Onboard and train new team members using Pinehurst’s standard operating procedures.

•  Track supply usage and manage equipment maintenance.

•  Work closely with the CEO to review what’s working, what’s breaking, and what’s being improved.

Performance Metrics (for Bonus Eligibility)

•  QC Pass Rate ≥ 95%

•  Labor Efficiency within ±5% of budget

•  Employee Retention ≥ 90%

•  Supply Cost per Account within target

•  Client Satisfaction ≥ 8/10 average

Qualifications

•  3–5 years of experience in service-industry operations (cleaning, facilities, landscaping, HVAC, etc.)

•  Proven ability to lead small teams and manage scheduling

•  Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver

•  Comfortable working closely with the CEO in a fast-moving environment

•  Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

•  Reliable transportation and flexible availability

Growth Path

This role starts as an execution-focused operations role with clear key performance indicators. After 12–24 months of strong performance, the Head of Operations may grow into a higher leadership role with increased pay, autonomy, and potential to earn ownership or profit-sharing.
