Manufacturing Project Manager

Job Description

Join our team in this unique role where you will be a key player in improving daily plant operations.  This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations with a focus on managing projects with efficiency and quality, ensuring the smooth coordination of routine activities.

Reports to: Director of Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management (Scheduling, Purchasing, and Inventory Control & Planning)
  • Identify, organize, and lead teams to resolve production and product issues
  • Train and supervise team members as needed
  • Support process improvement to increase quality and efficiency
  • Identify and implement cost savings initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree

 What you need:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong project management skills  
  • ERP/MRP software experience (scheduling, purchasing and inventory).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Spanish speaking is a plus. Ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to supervise and support team members

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing

Technology:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of:

  • Manufacturing Software
  • Spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Project management software
  • Inventory Software
  • Order Processing Systems

Travel Requirements:

  • Some travel is expected in this position when necessary (visits to material suppliers, industry trade show, customer or for offsite training)

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, climbing and stooping
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Location: Full time on site in Lakewood, NJ.   Remote or Hybrid work environment is not available.
