Catherine Cook School seeks a vibrant and innovative Curriculum Specialist. This role is a pivotal academic position that drives curriculum innovation, alignment, and excellence across all divisions. It uniquely blends expertise in instructional design, technology integration, and data-informed decision-making to create engaging, future-ready learning experiences. Beyond curriculum development, the role champions faculty growth through mentorship and professional learning, fosters a culture of collaboration and experimentation, and builds strong partnerships with families and educational organizations. By influencing pedagogical practices and supporting resource allocation, this position plays a critical part in advancing the school’s commitment to innovation and student success.

- Skilled in developing, revising, and aligning curriculum across preschool through 8th grade with a focus on vertical and horizontal coherence and evidence-based practices.
- Embraces innovative teaching strategies and effectively integrates technology to enhance learning experiences while fostering a culture of creativity and experimentation.
- Proficient in analyzing student performance data to inform curriculum and assessment decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Dedicated to mentoring educators, leading professional development, and facilitating workshops on curriculum, literacy, technology, and instructional practices.
- Collaborates effectively with school leadership, division heads, and faculty to set pedagogical goals and advance academic priorities.
- Communicates clearly with parents and caregivers, leads educational opportunities, and builds partnerships with educational organizations and networks.
- Demonstrates ability to manage budgets, allocate resources strategically, and identify high-quality programs and professional development opportunities.
What is the salary range for this position?
In compliance with IL’s Equal Pay Act, this position's salary range is $55,000-$78,000 at 100% FTE. When extending an offer, Catherine Cook considers factors such as (but not limited to) the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market and organizational considerations.
