Communications & Marketing Intern
Use your summer to gain real-world work experience with a communications & marketing team that keeps winning state and national awards for excellence. The Town of Holly Springs is searching for a Communications & Marketing Summer Intern. This position will be a crash course in what it takes to keep the public informed about their local government by using creative and compelling content. We expect our intern to be professional, outgoing, a great writer, Canva savvy, and detail oriented. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain diverse skillsets from design to social media, so you can build an impressive portfolio.
Internship Details:
•Ability to work in-person at Holly Springs Town Hall and attend events around town as needed
•This position is temporary and work schedule is 20-25 hours/week including occasional evening and weekend events.
•Starts late May 2026- Early August 2026- approximately 10 weeks
•Hourly rate is $15/hour
Job Duties May include:
•Updating the Town's website, working on accessibility enhancements and creating engaging content for residents
•Writing and editing news releases and articles for publication for internal and external audiences
•Developing advertising, promotional campaigns, flyers and marketing strategies
•Producing written copy and visuals for a variety of communication platforms including social media and website

Minimum Qualifications:
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Deadline driven and detail oriented
•Presents oneself and communicates in a professional manner
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
•Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited university or college;
•Must be classified as an undergraduate student;
•Must be able to provide an unofficial transcript
