Physician Assistant
Your Role at a Glance
Provide direct medical care for participants under physician supervision
Diagnose and treat episodic illnesses
Document medical updates accurately and communicate changes to the care team
Collaborate with physicians and the IDT to coordinate continuity of care
Write and manage medical orders and consultations as needed
Monitor care quality and act as a clinical resource for healthcare team members
Foster strong relationships with participants and families using a patient-family centered care approach
Assist in maintaining medical supply inventory
Respond to on-call needs, emergency callbacks, and support in disaster response
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current Michigan PA license, in good standing
1+ year of experience working with a frail or elderly population
CPR certification (AHA) or willingness to obtain
Reliable transportation and a valid Michigan driver’s license
Key Competencies
Sound clinical judgment with the ability to make independent decisions
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Commitment to patient dignity, safety, and comfort
Familiarity with long-term care regulations and clinical documentation
Computer proficiency, including EMR and MS Office
