Mental Health Therapist

A New York State entity based in Albany, New York is looking for a qualified candidate for a Mental Health Therapist Staff Psychologist. Permanent Full-time, Monday through Friday, annual position, salary range: $120-$145. The role provides individual counseling and consultation services to employees.
Position Requirements:
•
Deliver brief individual consultation and crisis intervention to employees experiencing mental health concerns.
•
Make referrals and appropriate linkages
•
Communicates and collaborates with service providers to enhance engagement and ensure quality
•
Provide resource information to employees
•
Coordinate with emergency services/hospital social workers/discharges
•
Conduct assessments and psychological testing
•
Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
•
Develop and deliver outreach programming to increase access and awareness of services
•
Provide screening and brief intervention for alcohol and other drug use
•
Organize work schedule and budget time
•
Focus on clinical work
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Fully licensed by New York State to provide counseling (Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program)
•
3+ years of clinical experience
•
Experience providing clinical services
•
Experience providing urgent mental health care and crisis intervention
•
Excellent interpersonal skills
•
Comfortable working independently
