Location: Greenwood Village, CO (on-site & in-person)
Duration: 10 weeks from May 27, 2026 to July 31, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on academic level)

Program Overview
Empower’s Summer Internship Program offers an immersive 10-week experience designed to develop rising professionals with an interest in financial services. Our interns thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment while gaining valuable insights into our business, culture, and mission.
Each intern is paired with a dedicated manager, mentor, and executive sponsor, and will work on a meaningful summer project. This program includes:
- Hands on-experience with real business initiatives
- Exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Networking opportunities
- Professional and personal development workshops
At the conclusion of the internship, each intern presents their work to business leaders, showcasing the impact they’ve made.
What you’ll do
As a Workplace Planning and Advice Process Improvement Intern, you will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and supporting strategic initiatives within the Workplace Planning and Advice Organization. Over the 10-week program, you will:
- Streamline process improvement to ensure initiatives are accurately captured, prioritized, and monitored
- Analyze data and identify insights related to cost savings, efficiency opportunities, and project performance to inform decision-making
- Support project documentation by developing process maps, reports, and presentations that communicate progress and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align team initiatives with the operating plan and improve efficiency
What you bring
We’re seeking college students who demonstrate a balance of technical aptitude, professionalism, and curiosity. Ideal candidates will bring the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university (Bachelor’s or Master’s program)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Available for full 10-week program (May 27 – July 31, 2026)
- Must reside near or be able to reliably commute to Greenwood Village, CO. This is an in-person internship.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (CPT/OPT not supported)

- Clear verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interactions and project reporting
- Ability to interpret data and identify efficiency opportunities
- Excellent organization and attention to detail when managing multiple requests and maintaining documentation
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams
- Self-directed with a proactive approach to learning
What will set you apart
- At least 2 years of academic progress toward a bachelor’s degree
- Expected to graduate and be available for full-time employment by mid-2027
- Preferred majors: Finance, Economics, Business Data Analytics, or other relevant business fields
- Experience with process mapping, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), or workflow automation
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, including the ability to simplify complex information
- Exposure to process improvement concepts such as Lean Six Sigma
- Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for operational excellence and continuous improvement
