Annual salary per the KEA Master Agreement
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Michigan Teaching Certificate with one of the following endorsements:
- Art Education (LX)
- Visual Arts Education (LQ)
- Visual Arts Specialist (LZ)
- Fine Arts (OX) - will also be considered
- Candidates with additional endorsements are preferred
Skills & Responsibilities:
The qualified candidate will:
- Use creative instructional strategies and best practices to foster student engagement
- Integrate technology, literature, and writing into art instruction
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Develop classroom-based interventions and monitor student progress
- Evaluate student growth using a variety of assessments
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate effectively with colleagues
