The Village of Lombard, Illinois is accepting applications for the position of police officer with the Lombard Police Department.
All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements established by the Village of Lombard:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Resident in the State of Illinois
- No felony convictions (Note: a misdemeanor or serious traffic offense may also disqualify applicants for further consideration)
- Valid state issued driver’s license
- Possess 20/20 corrected vision
- Minimum 20 years of age at time of application and at least 21 years of age at time of conditional offer of employment
- Be under 35 years of age at time of application, unless exempt from the age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioners Act
- Be a high school graduate or possess a GED
- Completed a minimum of 60 credit hours at an accredited college, university or junior college OR have one year of active military or naval service and honorable discharge OR currently a certified police officer in the State of Illinois
- Applicants are not obligated to disclose expunged juvenile recourse of adjudication, arrest, or conviction as part of the application process
- Possess a valid POWER test card dated no earlier than December 23, 2024
