Position Overview:
X-Bow Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Systems Engineering Intern to support our Advanced Manufacturing and Systems Processes (AMSP) . This internship offers hands-on experience in data collection, documentation, software/API development, and systems integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, programming skills, and a passion for digital engineering and systems development.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Engineering Support:
- Assist in collecting and documenting data for digital engineering efforts.
- Perform data entry and ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of digital models and workflows.
Software/API Development:
- Develop and implement software tools and APIs to connect and integrate various engineering software platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and address software integration challenges.
- Test and validate software solutions to ensure functionality and reliability.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems engineering processes and software tools.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Systems Integration:
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software tools and data workflows.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to systems connectivity and data exchange.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with API development and software integration.
- Proficiency in data collection, entry, and management.
- Knowledge of digital engineering principles and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with engineering software tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or CAD platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and data workflows.
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes and methodologies.
