The Role
As a Customer Service and Sales Representative, you'll combine technical knowledge with exceptional customer service to help industrial customers find the right solutions for their automation and control needs. This is more than order-taking—you'll be a problem-solver and trusted resource.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and urgency
- Provide assistance with products and technical information
- Prepare accurate quotes and process orders efficiently
- Collaborate with the automation and sales team to support customer accounts
- Research product specifications and availability to meet customer requirements
- Build lasting relationships with customers and vendor partners
- Support inventory management and branch operations
- Continuously expand your product knowledge through manufacturer training
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication abilities (verbal and written)
- Basic electronics knowledge (through education, training, or hands-on experience)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Valid driver's license
- Customer service or inside sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electrical systems and industrial products
- Familiarity with industrial automation, controls, or electrical distribution
- Experience in technical sales or industrial supply
- Understanding of product categories: PLCs, drives, motors, instrumentation, etc.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced sales or service environment
