Junior Electrical Engineer Internship

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a solid foundation in electrical design, analysis, and troubleshooting. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to support various projects, ensuring high-quality and timely completion. You must be a senior with an expected graduation date in 2026. 

The scheduled start date for the internship is 02/02/2025. Applications will be accepted until 01/16/2025.

General Accountabilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Conduct electrical calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment.
  • Support the development and implementation of new technologies and processes.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on progress.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Experience: 1-3 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC programming and control systems.
  • Knowledge of power distribution and electrical safety practices.
  • Experience with renewable energy systems or power electronics.
  • Certification (EIT, FE) or working towards obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
