Summary:

The Risk Management Intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing risk exposure data, learning about the company's global insurance program and working with a Risk Management Information System. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in Risk Management & Insurance to apply their knowledge to real-world corporate risk programs, meet with various insurance professionals, and work with our international risk management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation of insurance renewal underwriter presentations
  • Participate in insurance renewal meetings with brokers & underwriters
  • Review and update property characteristics and risk engineering data for company location records in Riskonnect
  • Review and update company Risk Management manuals
  • Present recommendations to the Risk Management team on technology and process improvements to department operations
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirement:

  • Insurance & Risk Management Major
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Basic understanding of insurance and risk management principles
  • Ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be willing to work in the CHQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours and in emergencies as needed
