Our highly respected plaintiff’s litigation firm—serving clients from our offices in Tacoma, Seattle, and Manhattan—is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced Tacoma office. Position Overview
The Legal Assistant will support a busy group of trial attorneys handling demanding litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
We are willing to train candidates new to the legal field, provided they bring strong writing abilities, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents and correspondence
File documents with Superior Court, Court of Appeals, Federal District Court, and State Supreme Court (electronic and in-person)
Communicate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and outside agencies
Manage attorney schedules, coordinate meetings, and maintain a complex litigation calendar
Support trial preparation and assist with case organization
Work closely with paralegals, law clerks, associates, and partners
Handle administrative and case-related tasks as needed in a busy trial practice
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong writing, grammar, and communication skills
Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team
Ability to manage competing deadlines and high-volume workloads
Eagerness to learn and grow within the legal field
Preferred (But Not Required)
Prior legal assistant or litigation support experience
Familiarity with court rules, filing procedures, or legal terminology
Experience working with state and federal courts
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $70,000–$100,000 depending on experience
