Attn: “gap year” pre-medical, pre-PA and/or other related pre-health students seeking direct hands-on patient care experience

 

Allergy and Asthma care Center is a private practice located in Alexandria, Reston and Leesburg. Several of our employees have completed their commitment with us, and are leaving for medical school or graduate school. We have medical assistant positions open for highly motivated individuals wishing to pursue a career in medicine.

Our office is looking for gap year or upperclassmen students that are self starters, punctual and possess excellent communication skills.

This is an exceptional opportunity for those in need of acquiring hands-on patient care hours, as we do not require that you have former experience as we are willing to train the right candidates.

 

Primary responsibilities:

Conducting patient intakes using EMR

Administering allergy injections

Performing allergy skin testing

Performing lung function testing

Front desk duties as needed (answering phones, scheduling patients, check in/out, etc)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (preferred)

Medical assistant experience (preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate)

**Priority will be given to candidates who are able to work in two or more office locations.
