Software Engineer Intern (USA - Remote)
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Software Engineer Intern to join our Product & Engineering team in the USA (Remote), with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD). & Customer Service Management (CSM) This internship is designed for candidates with academic, project-based, or internship experience in ServiceNow development, and is particularly well-suited for those holding a CIS-ITSM, CIS-HRSD & CSM certification or relevant ITSM, HRSD & CSM project exposure.
The selected candidate will work on real-world ITSM, HRSD & CSM implementations, contribute to AI-powered automation use cases, and help build enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions in collaboration with Work4Flow’s global product and development teams.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate with the development team to build and customize HR Service Delivery applications and related ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, CSM, CMDB).
- Assist in developing HRSD workflows, automation, and business rules.
- Contribute to UI development using ServicePortal (AngularJS) or Workspace (ReactJS) for HRSD use cases under mentorship and supervision.
- Work on integrations between ServiceNow HRSD and other enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, or integration tools.
- Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing HRSD configurations and applications.
- Follow ServiceNow best practices for HRSD development, deployment, and documentation.
- Contribute to agentic AI and automation initiatives within the HRSD domain.
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative project discussions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Academic or project-based exposure to ServiceNow development (required).
- Active CIS-HRSD & CSM certification strongly preferred.
- Understanding of HRSD and other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CSM, CMDB.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, or ServiceNow scripting.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and remotely in a collaborative setting.
- Experience with ServicePortal (AngularJS) or Workspace (ReactJS) is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CIS-CSM, Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer).
- Prior internship or hands-on experience with HRSD workflow automation or integrations.
- Exposure to REST API, SOAP, or data integrations within HRSD.
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms or HR-related workflow solutions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
