Project Engineer
Job Description:
We’re looking for a Project Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who’s organized, great at solving problems, and loves working with a team to get projects done right.
What you’ll do:
- Keep project documents organized from start to finish
- Track change orders, RFIs, submittals and closeout documents
- Join meetings and take notes when needed
- Work with field crews, providing clear instructions and quality standards
- Do regular site walks to check on schedules, coordination and quality
- Team up with VDC/BIM/prefab staff as needed
- Connect with vendors, contractors and suppliers to keep things moving
- Read blueprints, submittals and technical documents
- Tackle challenges in a fast-paced construction setting
- Pitch in on other tasks to help the project and team succeed
What you’ll need:
- At least one year of project engineering experience in commercial construction (or related education)
- Familiarity with electrical equipment, schematics and specs
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Great communication skills to keep everyone in the loop
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Comfortable working with diverse teams, vendors and contractors
- Ready to thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment
