Automotive Customer Service Advisor

Are you a people-person who loves cars? Pep Boys is seeking a motivated Customer Service Advisor to be the first point of contact for customers. In this role, you’ll build trust, provide expert guidance, and ensure an exceptional service experience from start to finish. You’ll help customers understand their vehicle needs, recommend products and services, and coordinate with technicians to keep every car running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist customers in person and by phone, building trust and understanding vehicle needs
• Create and manage service work orders, schedule appointments, and handle payments and transactions
• Clearly explain recommended services, repairs, and timelines to customers and teammates
• Perform express services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery installations, and inspections
• Support efficient, safe, and organized shop operations while maintaining a professional appearance
• Collaborate with management to resolve customer concerns, ensure compliance, and identify business opportunities

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• 1+ year of automotive service or retail experience (sales experience preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic math skills with ability to calculate commissions and discounts
  Motivated, team-oriented, and focused on delivering great customer experiences
  Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., extended standing and walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and reaching. Must be able to communicate effectively, use computers and POS systems, and safely operate motor vehicles and ladders. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
