VPI Compounding Pharmacy is hiring a Laboratory Support Technician to assist with daily sampling, documentation, and compliance tasks within our pharmacy. This is an entry-level role with full training provided, ideal for someone who enjoys detailed work and wants to build experience in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

You will support both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions to help ensure our compounded medications meet essential safety and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Review and organize daily logs, forms, and documentation.
• Help ensure records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Assist with basic sampling of materials and finished products.
• Enter and verify data following clear written procedures.
• Help prepare materials for audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
• Work with Pharmacy, Compounding, and Warehouse teams when support is needed.
• Assist with completing training paperwork for new team members.
• Support general compliance and recordkeeping activities to keep the department running smoothly.
  
   

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred.
• Experience: Experience in pharmacy, laboratory, healthcare, or compliance is helpful but not required. We are happy to train detail-oriented candidates who are motivated to learn.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking between departments for extended periods.
• Frequent computer and document review work.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to wear PPE (lab coat, gloves, mask) in controlled or sterile areas.
