Social Media Manager Intern

Location: Hybrid (In-person filming in the Denver Metro + remote content management)

Type: Internship (Part-time, flexible schedule)


 

About the Role:

We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern who is eager to build real-world experience in digital marketing, content creation, and brand growth. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on training in social media strategy, short-form video production, and real estate marketing.


 

The ideal candidate is passionate about content creation, social media trends, and building online communities. This role is highly educational and mentorship-driven—you’ll work directly with Laura Melquist (Realtor® & content creator) and our professional videographer to learn video marketing strategies and brand positioning within the real estate industry.


 

You’ll also get the chance to produce a professional portfolio of your work, published across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Business Pages.


 

Key Responsibilities:

    •    Manage and grow Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook business accounts.

    •    Plan and maintain a content calendar for consistent posting.

    •    Record and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) aligned with brand strategy.

    •    Collaborate with Laura twice a month for scheduled filming sessions.

    •    Partner with our videographer to learn real estate video marketing strategies

    •    Independently capture and create additional content.

    •    Optimize content with engaging captions, hashtags, and trends.

    •    Track and analyze performance metrics, using insights to recommend growth strategies.

    •    Stay on top of social media tools, trends, and best practices.


 

Qualifications:

    •    Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related 

         field (preferred but not required).

    •    Strong familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

    •    Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, Canva, or similar).

    •    Creative eye for aesthetics, trends, and short-form storytelling.

    •    Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.

    •    Comfortable behind the camera.
