Mental Health Facilitator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Mental Health Facilitator to join our team and facilitate our social and emotional skill development program in group settings. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience working with children, preferably in behavioral health, education, or similar fields. The Mental Health Facilitator will be responsible for implementing our curriculum, following billing code description guidelines, and documenting client participation and progress.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate Group Sessions: Lead group sessions following our skill development curriculum, focusing on social and emotional skill development in children and adolescents. Facilitators will ensure that sessions are structured and delivered according to our program's curriculum guidelines.

Follow Billing Code Guidelines: Adhere to billing code description guidelines when delivering therapeutic activities aimed at reducing barriers and improving social functioning.

Document Client Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client participation, progress, and any relevant observations or concerns, following HIPAA and confidentiality protocols.

Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other team members, including academic tutors, counselors, and supervisors, to ensure holistic support for program participants.

Provide Feedback and Support: Offer constructive feedback and support to program participants, encouraging their social and emotional growth and development.

Attend Training and Meetings: Participate in ongoing training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about best practices, program updates, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health, education, ABA, counseling, or similar settings.
  • Strong understanding of social and emotional skill development in children and adolescents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Reliable and responsible with strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.

Schedule: Part-time position, with flexible hours based on group session schedules and participant needs.
