Job Title: Part-Time Product Photographer & Content Creator

Location: Somerset, NJ (7-10 mins from New Brunswick  Station)
Hours: ~10 hours per week
Job Type: Part-Time (Onsite Only)

We are a growing online retail business based in Somerset, New Jersey, specializing in high-quality retail products. We are looking for a creative and skilled photographer/content creator to join our team. This role will involve product photography, video content for social media, and studio setup/management.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will not only photograph products for our website but also create short videos and reels for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong visual skills and wants to gain real-world experience in e-commerce content creation and brand building.

Key Responsibilities

Photography & Editing

Photograph retail products weekly for e-commerce listings

Edit and prepare photos (basic color correction & retouching)

Maintain consistent image style and brand identity

Video & Social Media Content

Shoot short product videos, reels, and behind-the-scenes content

Create social media-friendly videos showcasing products

Assist in conceptualizing content ideas & visual storytelling

Knowledge of video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)

Studio Setup & Maintenance

Help set up and manage a small in-house photo/video studio

Organize and maintain photography/video equipment

Ensure good lighting and proper workflow in studio space

Future Opportunities

Model/product photoshoots

Creative input on campaigns and marketing content

Requirements

Photography and/or videography experience required

Must submit a portfolio with samples of photos and videos

Strong understanding of lighting, composition & camera settings

Basic knowledge of editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar)

Video editing experience (social media format preferred)

Organized, reliable, and able to meet deadlines

Ideal for photography/media students or freelancers looking for steady part-time work
