2026 Summer Camp Woodshop Staff

Camp Boggy Creek is a not-for-profit medical camp that serves children with serious illnesses. We have summer jobs and year-round volunteer opportunities. We are located in central Florida, approximately 45 minutes north of Orlando.  Our summer staff directly impact and empower children.

A camp where children with serious illnesses and their families can forget the word "no" for a little while and embrace the promise of "yes."

No matter your major, our summer jobs teach the top skills like leadership, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, customer service, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

If you enjoy kids, trying new things, and choosing kindness, this could be the place for you! Don't worry if you don't have experience with children who have illnesses, or experience with just playing with children in general; we have medical staff and volunteers on site to take care of campers' medical needs. We will train staff in the medical information you will need to PLAY WITH KIDS here.

Benefits/perks:

The job provides free on-site housing and meals.

Staff can also receive CPR and first aid training, lifeguard training, and archery training.

Regular professional development sessions teach staff additional skills as the summer progresses.  Camp helps staff grow!

Fun!

Summer job applicants must be at least 18 years old, and positions are contingent on reference checks, receipt of passing criminal background screening, fingerprinting, and medical / immunization requirements. We hope to have summer staff hired by mid-April, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.

All voices are needed at Camp Boggy Creek, and every new member of our team is an opportunity for our camp to grow. We want to hire a camp staff that is reflective of the campers we serve, so we strongly encourage diverse candidates to apply. Camp Boggy Creek is intentional about growing our diversity, equity, and inclusion, as we want all children and adults to feel safe, respected, and loved here.

Here is a link to our employment page, where you will be able to access the online application. (Our Summer 2026 application will open on November 15, 2025!)
