Production Assistant
Production Assistant:
1st Shift;
- Full-Time: Monday - Friday (7:00AM - 3:15PM)
3rd Shift:
- Full-Time: Monday - Thursday (8:00pm - 6:15am)
Summary/Objective:
The Production Assistant is a detail-oriented position in the Production Department of the company. This position assists in packaging and quality control with training provided for all essential functions. This is an entry-level position that allows employees to gain experience and provides a great opportunity for career growth!
Essential Functions:
- Perform appropriate packaging and shipping methods for products and customers.
- Create labels and implement label changes.
- Operate heat sealer and rewind table equipment per work order, work instruction, job ticket, and ISO procedures.
- Perform quality checks as defined by the training & paperwork.
- Maintain plant cleanliness and efficiency; cleaning, emptying trash, recyclables, etc.
- Adhere to organizational principles and protocol documented for each area.
- Maintain & collect samples as required.
- Contribute to the creation, improvement, implementation, documentation, and performance of the processes and procedures of The Strouse Corporation Quality Management System.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 50 pounds, frequently lift, and/or move objects that weigh 20 to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Computer Proficiency: Basic Data Entry Skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Related Experience in a Manufacturing/Warehouse Environment
