Learning Specialist

The Revolution Learning Lab is a trauma-informed academic and executive-function learning space serving bright children who learn differently. We are looking for a skilled, dependable Learning Specialist to provide one-on-one support for an elementary-age student with ADHD and language-based learning needs. This is a highly focused, structured role for someone who loves helping children grow in confidence and skills.

Position Details
Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Total Hours: 9 hours per week (consistent weekly schedule)
Location: College Park, Maryland
Start Date: Immediate after onboarding
Compensation: Competitive; based on experience

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher in education, psychology, child development, social work, or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience working with children (schools, tutoring, ABA, camps, aftercare, daycare, etc.)

Strong communication skills

Calm, patient, reliable

Willing to be trained in structured literacy and executive-function techniques

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ADHD, dyslexia, speech/language challenges, or neurodivergent learners

Background in special education, early childhood, or behavior support

Responsibilities

Implement structured literacy activities and multisensory math routines

Support emotional regulation and executive-function skills

Follow a weekly learning plan with consistency

Provide brief daily progress notes

Maintain a calm, structured environment

Collaborate with parent/lead educator on weekly goals
