HIRING DEPT: UC DAVIS WASHINGTON PROGRAM
Position Summary:
The UC Davis Washington Program is seeking a motivated and dynamic undergraduate student to serve as a Marketing & Outreach Student Manager. This position requires between 15 and 19.5 hours per week proactively conducting marketing and outreach for the Washington program. In this role, you will act as an ambassador for the Washington Program, leading efforts to promote the program, manage its promotional campaigns, and coordinate outreach events to enhance student engagement and recruitment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing & Program Promotion
• Develop and implement marketing plans to respond to program needs and appeal to the larger UC Davis community.
• Develop and distribute digital and physical marketing materials to promote program events.
• Track, compile, and present reports for the leadership team, analyzing the effectiveness of promotional and recruiting efforts.
Outreach & Event Coordination
• Independently plan, organize, market, and implement Washington Program outreach events, including information sessions, networking events, and campus fairs.
• Coordinate and conduct classroom presentations and information sessions in large and small group settings to promote the program.
• Conduct targeted recruitment efforts, including outreach to professors, academic advisors, peer advisors, and University departments.
• Coordinate logistics, marketing, and engagement strategies to maximize event attendance.
Other Duties
• General office tasks and maintenance as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a current undergraduate, degree-seeking student at the University of California, Davis.
• Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university at the time of application.
• Must have the ability to work 15-19.5 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience presenting to groups of various sizes.
• Strong event planning and organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal and strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience as a Washington Program participant (preferred but not required).
