Survey Internship
From "Traditional" or Design Surveying to the latest technological advances in LiDAR, Geomatics offers a variety of options for the curious student. DRMP’s college internship is designed to allow students to gain practical experience in SEVERAL of these areas while earning a degree and exploring a potential career path in the industry.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
The purpose of the survey internship is to provide an opportunity for the student to be exposed to an overview of field and office workflows while developing the student’s professionalism. Students will be exposed to the following topics during the semester:
- Project research
- Survey calculations
- Drafting in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, MicroStation, and TopoDOT
- Field safety
- Using GNSS Receivers, Digital Levels, LiDAR scanners and Total Stations
- Field notes reduction and field-to-finish processing
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year degree with a Geomatics or Survey focus
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history
