Operating Partner (Owner-Operator)

Operating Partner / Owner-Operator

This role is ideal for a highly driven operator who wants meaningful equity, autonomy, and a clear path to becoming President/CEO of a small business.

Responsibilities

Full P&L ownership of an acquired company (typically $1–5M revenue).

Lead daily operations: scheduling, production, customer service, hiring, vendor management.

Execute the 100-Day Plan and long-term growth initiatives.

Recruit, train, and manage frontline employees.

Improve systems, workflows, and KPIs using simple, disciplined frameworks (EOS-style).

Drive revenue growth through customer experience, local marketing, and operational excellence.

Work directly with Zion Ventures on capital planning, quarterly reviews, and strategy.

Ideal Candidate

3+ years experience in operations, management, or running a small team.

Bias for action—comfortable making decisions, implementing processes, and fixing problems fast.

Strong people leadership and communication skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset; wants to own outcomes, not just manage tasks.

Analytical and comfortable with KPIs, margins, cash flow, and basic financial statements.

Willing to roll up sleeves; thrives in hands-on environments.

Prior SMB or trades/service experience a strong asset but not required.
