Animation & Storytelling Intern – Beyond the Data

Kashmir World Foundation – Bioacoustics Research & Conservation Media

About the Project

Beyond the Data is an immersive animated film that takes audiences into the unseen world of bioacoustics. Blending rich 3D environments with expressive 2D characters, the story follows the real expedition work of the Kashmir World Foundation (KwF), where technology doesn’t just analyze nature—it begins to understand it.

Synopsis: Deep within the Costa Rican rainforest, Dr. K, a curious bioacoustician, stumbles upon a mysterious logbook left behind by a research team. When his computer unexpectedly activates, he meets Sentinel AI — an artificial intelligence born from the Kashmir World Foundation’s groundbreaking bioacoustics project. As Dr. K follows Sentinel through the forest, he learns how scientists have transformed the rainforest’s soundscape into living data and why decoding animal calls, mapping human disturbances, and revealing how the forest itself sends warnings of danger can save our environment.. Through immersive 3D and 2D animation, the invisible world of sound comes alive, transforming data into color, form, and motion.

Our team is bringing this invisible world of sound to life through innovative storytelling, data‑driven visuals, and emotional resonance. This is more than a film—it’s an experience designed to inspire global conservation action.
