Child / Teen Therapist
, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivering mental health services to children with a variety of needs including trauma, anxiety, and depression
- Work closely with school personnel, other outside treatment providers, and families to provide a quality continuum of care
- Completion of intake and assessments as needed to determine the appropriate level of care
- Completion of all required documentation in client file within set timeframes in accordance with state regulations and program policies and procedures
- Completion of individual treatment plan
- Collaboration with collaterals, family, and other community supports
- Ability to develop and facilitate group treatment
- Ongoing individual, family, and couples counseling
- Crisis intervention and support as needed
- Harm reduction and recovery/safety planning as needed
- Referrals to outside resources/services
- Insurance authorizations and extensions as needed
- Work as part of a team with consulting psychiatrist, nurse practitioner and all other staff
- Professionally represent the mission of Link House Inc. and actively collaborate with all agency programs
- Participate in supervision as required by state regulations
- Attend staff meetings
- Any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, counseling or related field required, with license preferred (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, LICSW, LADC 1)
- CANS certification preferred, or ability to become certified upon hire
- Familiarity with ASAM Dimensions
- Experience treating children and/or adolescents
- Knowledge of insurance billing
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders required
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with Electronic health Records
- Flexible schedule (evenings required)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings: Adam Walsh/DCF background check, CORI, and drug screen
Pay range: $60,000-$65,000
